The company KIG has been present on the market for over sixty years.

It was established in 1948, when on 28th April a local craftsman workshop in Ig transformed into the District Metalworking Company Ig, employing 15 people in the production of water boilers and stoves. In 1954 the company was renamed to Metal Industry Ig and in 1995 it become a limited stock company.

Today the company is best known for the production of automotive number plates and store equipment.
